|Help Wanted/Needed/Requested/Appreciated in April
We need a few good men/women/patriots to help at our Market Night booth this Thursday as well as at our yard sale this weekend.
For Market Night, our two patriots who run our booth, Joann and Richard Marshall, are in need of some strong arms. Richard has had some heart issues, so he can’t set up the booth like he used to. The Marshalls mostly need help setting up about 5 p.m. and tearing down about 9 p.m. Joann’s phone number is in the next column.
For the yard sale, we need donations and strong arms. Put your junk (no not that junk) in service of the cause and clear out your garage and closets. Susie is again volunteering her yard for the weekend to help us collection donations. This yard sale is critical because this is our biggest cash infusion of the year. (The other, the tea kettle during our monthly meeting, is our other cash source.) The money generated from Market Night, yard sale, and tea kettle–which, all together, is not much–is how we pay for Market Night space rental, fliers, etc. Information for helping the yard sale is in the next column.
Both the yard sale and market night booths are fun ways to get involved and help. You get to have fun and actually talk to like-minded conservatives–an event you should never take for granted in liberal California!
And while we’re talking about April…
…We have a second meeting in April!
On April 30, Trevor Loudon, will discuss his book, “The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the US Congress.” A documentary of his book will be released in late 2015. (His website is www.TrevorLoudon.com) Trevor is a great motivational speaker for the cause of freedom, although he speaks with a slight “southern accent.” [We are meeting on 4/30 to accommodate Trevor’s schedule, so we will NOT meet on May 7.] Trevor has a history of attracting standing-room-only crowds, so come early to this meeting. His books really target all the anti-democratic and anti-American behavior of California’s and America’s Dem elected officials.
You can watch the trailer and if you are so moved make a contribution to the movie at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/exposing-the-enemies-within
Also in April, Redlands Townhall returns April 28 with national security expert Claire Lopez, who has electrified crowds in Redlands before. [Claire Lopez is one of the best speakers around on the jihadist threat.]
We’re still not done with April: Did you all see that most outstanding half-page ad in the Redlands Daily Facts last Sunday? If you missed the ad from the Inland Empire Transit Alliance, you can catch it again on April 19, 26 and 30! (and if you can’t wait until then, then you can check out the link to the ad on our website: http://tia.redlandsteaparty.net/an/redlands-passenger-rail-project-aka-the-crazy-train/
We can personally attest to the costs, effort, and time it takes to organize and pay for newspaper advertising, so we applaud the support IE Transit Alliance leader Larry Leonard for all his dedication on this issue. For more info: https://ietransitalliance.wordpress.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/groups/IETransitAlliance/
Larry appreciates your support, but what he really wants you to do is write the Redlands City Council (the address is in the IE Transit Alliance ad) and express your opposition to the “Redlands crazy train.” Larry says the Redlands City Council could stop the train if its members really wanted. Larry also requests that you write letters to the Redlands Daily Facts as a way to alert residents to the importance of stopping this $475 million boondoggle that will make traffic and noise worse, 24 diesel trains per day, and bring high rise “stack and pack” housing to Redlands including replacing Redlands Mall with a 5-6 story “stack and pack.” Please also join us for public comment at City Council meetings. The meetings are televised so it’s a great way to inform our fellow citizens about the “Crazy Train” boondoggle. If you can’t make the council meeting, then you could meet two council members at this Saturday’s coffee with the council at the Olive Avenue Market.
Oh! We can’t let this newsletter ramble on any farther without thanking the 30 Patriots who tried to give Pete Aguilar a pink slip (compared to ~10 doctors inside) last week for his shameless and unconstitutional support of Obama’s amnesty. (And thanks to the Redlands Daily Facts for covering the event as well. http://www.redlandsdailyfacts.com/social-affairs/20150409/activists-protest-rep-aguilar-over-immigration-stance ) The protest was in Redlands, where the town’s former mayor–who moved his congressional office to Rancho Cucamonga since his election–spoke to a medical society. As is custom with Pete, he never had the character or courage to meet with the constituents who actually disagree with him. He tried and failed to wait out the group. Pete fled past the protestors about one hour after the protest was expected to end about 7 p.m. Coward. This event was a great combined effort by We The People Rising, Oath Keepers and Redlands Tea Party Patriots.
Patriots! We are as proud as peacocks about the Freedom Tea Party Patriots, a Fontana-based group that just decided at the Feb. 21 Unite IE conference to get into the game. The group’s first meeting is May 19 with former assemblyman Tim Donnelly! Details in the adjoining column. Please like their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/881955211854849/
Oh! In case you missed our last newsletter, don’t forget that the Politichicks are coming to a special meeting of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots on Aug. 8! Details to be announced in a coming newsletter.
The ever-fearless Tressy Capps is on fire (yet again)! Check out her latest video taking on the proposed toll lanes on the I-10. Here is the link:

The national Tea Party Patriots are revamping its website: http://www.teapartypatriots.org/
Please go there and sign up. Enrolling means a lot of new and incredible information the Tea Party Patriots are plowing into its website, which includes news and exclusive information any conservative could use. In addition, you can now join the Redlands Tea Party Patriots via that site by searching for local groups. (Even the evening we published this newsletter, even more updates were added–make the site just that much snazzier.)

Tea Party “elevator speech”:
The many attacks on the Tea Party movement never mention the Tea Party principles. When and if you have the opportunity to talk about the Tea Party movement, here is brief suggested Tea Party “elevator speech” you might use, in the elevator, checkout line, with a friend, neighbor or co-worker, or online:
The Tea Party Patriots and the Redlands Tea Party Patriots seek to protect and restore the freedom and opportunity for you, your children and grandchildren to pursue the American dream through:
- Personal Freedom with Constitutionally Limited Government
- Economic Freedom with Opportunity for All and Favoritism for None
- A Debt Free Future through Fiscal Responsibility Today
To learn more, you are invited to our next meeting on April 30, beginning at 7 p.m. at Mill Creek Cattle Co. or go to www.RedlandsTeaParty.net
And Don’t Forget: The Redlands City Council wants to raise our water rates taxes by 14%!
Within months of an election, the Redlands City Council wants to raise our water taxes 7% in 2015 and another 7% in 2016. This is a backdoor way to raise taxes on us that escapes voter approval. According to the Redlands Daily Facts, the City Council will discuss the hikes during an upcoming meeting. Here’s the reality of the Redlands City Council: they are a leftist cabal that loves raising taxes whenever possible. The only time they hesitate is when the public stands up to their liberal desires — as was the case last year when they wanted to put another tax increase on the 2014 ballot. [Do you suppose they want to raise water rates taxes to cover the “sustainability” projects they wanted the tax increase for?]
Quick! Sign up for Facebook and join the lively discussion with your fellow patriots!
We want to clear the 1,000 member hurdle! Overall, we reject about half of our applicants because they are spammers, bots, and agitators. We welcome actual people who want to share news and information relating to conservative causes.
