Redlands Tea Party Patriots
New and Bold Tea Party Group Starts in Fontana Area!
A handful of new tea party groups have formed in the Inland Empire since the 2014 election, but few have us as excited as the new, Fontana-based, Freedom Tea Party!

Kathy and Sean Ponce, who have no political experience, just got fed up with the direction of the country earlier this year and decided to start a new tea party encompassing Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Etiwanda, Fontana, and Rialto. Their first meeting is Tuesday, May 19, with none other than Tea Party fav Tim Donnelly as the speaker! (Shock! Tim will talk about the dangers of big government in California.) Still, landing Tim is a big coup for a new group. Congratulations Freedom Tea Party! Details about attending are in the adjoining column. This group is as determined as they are bold, so c’mon out and see their first meeting!

And thank you liberal media! We would be very hard pressed to find a tea partier that loves the media, but we must give them credit when they, as Rush says, practice a “random act of journalism.” Credit to the Fontana News, San Bernardino Sun, Inland Daily Bulletin, among others, for running the news release on Sunday about the Tuesday meeting. Here is the link from the Inland Daily Bulletin:

Petition season is about to start!

Several new petitions will soon be hitting the streets both locally and statewide in the coming months.

The first is a statewide effort to prohibit our nutty Sacramento legislators from extending the unpopular and immoral “co-ed bathroom” law from the public schools to public facilities statewide. That petition, aiming for the 2016 ballot, could hit the streets this summer. Stay tuned.

The other is from TeaPAC Pasadena,, headed by Mike Alexander, which is in the process of repealing the unpopular and unneeded utility taxes in the Inland Empire communities of Upland, San Bernardino, Rialto, and Colton. TeaPAC Pasadena is working to repeal a host of utility taxes throughout Southern California (70 communities in five counties as a matter of fact) and these four San Bernardino County communities are the first targets in the Inland Empire. TeaPAC Pasadena needs at least three registered voters in these communities to step up as proponents wanting to repeal utility taxes in those towns. (There is no cost and no responsibility other than signing forms.) Please contact as soon as possible. Bottom line up front: utility taxes need relatively few valid signatures to qualify for the ballot, so a determined group of volunteers could collect enough signatures to overturn utility taxes in those cities.  The only way to make government smaller is by limiting government’s ability to extract money from the taxpayers.

Our own John Berry has been named a San Bernardino County coordinator for Utility Users Tax (UTT) repeal effort. You can reach him via You can contact him as well if you are willing to sponsor a UTT repeal in your city.

Also, TeaPAC Pasadena will be launching a petition drive in December or January supporting school choice. Stay tuned!

So much local, national and international news to cover, so we’ll resort to bullets:

  • The Inland Empire Transit Alliance is drawing fire! Larry Leonard and his band of bold individuals and dedicated patriots are forcing SCAMBAG to resort to bogus advertising and tax-dollar supported radio shows to spread more propaganda how the $242 Million (according to SANBAG), $475 Million (according to the IE TransitAlliance) Redlands “Crazy Train” is really good for us!  The Redlands “Crazy Train” will run 50 diesel powered trains per day through Redlands. (The latest SCAMBAG efforts includes low-ball estimates of the crazy train’s real costs.) Redlands City Councilman and Agenda 21/“sustainability”/regional government proponent socialist Jon Harrison is even resorting to writing letters to the Redlands Daily Facts to bolster flagging public support. Keep up the fight Larry and IE Transit Alliance!  Please see: and
  • Before we leave this subject, we want to applaud all the patriots who showed up at Saturday’s Coffee with the Council and made the case to fight the crazy train. From what we hear, they made their points with facts and figures the council could not refute. These patriots illustrate what can happen when citizens get off the couch and get involved.
  • Congratulations to the Redlands Daily Facts for several impressive journalism awards. It’s no secret we’ve had some tummy upset issues with the Facts and its leftist favoritism over the years, but we must give the paper credit for three recent journalism awards. What’s impressive is the little Redlands Daily Facts earned more awards than papers five times its size. While we sometimes question the news judgment of the Facts’ “news” stories — such as some recent silly ones detailing Pete Aguilar’s politically correct diet — we must, however, give credit to Toni Momberger and the Facts for their efforts at improving the paper in terms of appearance, depth, and objectivity. They have published letters to the editor on both sides of the Redlands “Crazy Train” issue including this recent one by Greg Brittain.   We are also grateful for Marilyn Synder’s continuing column in the RDF, “The Tea Party Patriot’s View.”  Here is Marilyn’s latest column.
  • Our very own Pete Aguilar is batting a perfect .000 on 16 House votes America wants! According to Heritage Action’s Scorecard, Redlands’ own socialist and Marxist Pete Aguilar is 0 for 16 on votes ranging from approving the Keystone XL Pipeline to protecting unborn children–and of course he voted against repealing Obamacare! Vote after vote, Pete drinks the Kool Aid and happily grasps his puppet strings and votes the way Obama wants. See for yourself: Pete Aguilar fully supports Obama’s failed expanding government economic policies.  Aguilar’s 2014 and 2016 opponent, Paul Chabot, supports Ronald Reagan’s successful “get government out of the way” policies.  Which is better?  Obama’s policies produced the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression.  If the economy recovered as well under Obama’s pro-government policies as under Reagan’s pro-growth, pro-jobs policies, our economy would be $2.4 TRILLION larger and there would be 14.4 MILLION more jobs.   CASE CLOSED.  [We cannot repeat this key statistic too often.]
  • Efforts to find non-existent voters in the Aguilar/Chabot race are increasing. We will soon be supporting weekly canvassing to prove that numerous Aguilar voters never existed. Interested? Contact Jackie Nutting, President for of the Institute for Fair Elections, or (909) 256-1177.
  •  The British Tea Party won big in the United Kingdom’s elections! Remember those guys who forced us to buy tea at exorbitant rates some 2.5 centuries ago? Well, turns out many of their great-great-great-great-great grandchildren now resemble the patriots who chucked their tea into Boston Harbor! The British version of the American Tea Party Patriots, known as “UKIP” or the United Kingdom Independence Party,” won a whopping 13% of the overall vote in recent British elections. UKIP finished third (a huge feat for a new party in parliamentary style governments) behind the Labor and Conservative parties. Because of the way the vote was spread across England and Wales, UKIP won just a few seats in Westminster. But, the force of UKIP is forcing the British prime minister to hold votes on European Union membership and forcing changes in Britain’s loony immigration policy.
  •  And now for something not-so-completely different in the UK: We can’t help but notice that British Prime Minister and Conservative Party leader David Cameron has a political history strongly resembling that of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Both leaders enacted strong fiscally conservative measures and were savaged by labor unions and the media. Both stuck to their beliefs despite polls showing unpopular support. And both won big on election day despite pollsters telling them they could lose.
  •  Don’t miss the Patriots Sizzling Summer Spectacular staring the Politichicks, who are coming to a special meeting of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots on Aug. 8! Details are in the adjoining column For information and tickets please see .  And just to get you in the mood,
  •  The Redlands Tea Party Patriots meeting on June 4 will feature Steve Stockman, who was elected to Congress from Texas in the 1994 Gingrich revolution and again in 2012 will present his inside view of politics and the Federal Capital City then and now (calling it Washington DC is an insult to the great man who was the father of our country) and Paul Chabot will present his strategy regarding how to defeat ISIS.   Steve Stockman is coming to California in part to learn more about our successful Unite IE coalition to help duplicate it in other parts of America.
  • Sign up for Facebook and join the lively discussion with your fellow patriots! We want to clear the 1,000 member hurdle! Overall, we reject about half of our applicants because they are spammers, bots, and agitators. We welcome actual people who want to share news and information relating to conservative causes.(
