Tim is running against #EstRep Paul Cook who voted for the RYAN-PELOSI BUDGET and the new Fed.Ed law “EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT” [#ESSA] aka #CommonCore 2.0.
How bad is the RYAN-PELOSI BUDGET?
Among many terrible provisions, the Ryan-Pelosi budget funds Obama bringing 300,000 unvettable Muslims to America in 2016 and steals $150 Billion from Social Security to prop up the widely abused disability program that for many has become permanent unemployment insurance.
How bad is the “EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT“? Obama’s Education Secretary Arne Duncan said:
“I am stunned how much better it ended up than either [House or Senate] bill going into conference. I had a Democratic Congressman say to me that it is a miracle – he is literally never seen anything like it…[I]f you look at the substance of what is there… Embedded in the law are the values that we promoted and proposed forever. The core of our agenda from Day One, that is all in there…. For the first time in our nation’s history, that is the letter of the law.”
Among many terrible things, #ESSA purports to take away parents’ right to opt their children out of #CommonCore tests. [However, parents still have that right even if the Federal government sanctions states if too many parents opt their children out.]
Tim Donnelly would not vote for the Ryan-Pelosi budget or the “Every Student Succeeds Act” no matter what the Rep leadership or lobbyists promised him or threatened him with.
Paul Cook did what leadership told him to do.
You may have heard Paul Cook’s commercials on AM 590 or other stations. Did you notice they talk a lot about Paul Cook’s admirable service in Vietnam, but not so much about Paul Cook’s record in Congress.
So join Tim and the cast of “Night with the Stars” in singing “so long, farewell” to Paul Cook.
