The assisted suicide of Christianity (and thereby America)

“According to a poll reported on today by ABC News, 83% of Americans self-identify as Christians:

If that is the case, then one has to ask how have we arrived at a cultural whistlestop where bastardy is commonplace, divorce is rampant, homosexuality idealized by cultural trendsetters and given pride of place by the courts, and babies are chopped up and sold for parts?…”

This illustrates part of the answer.  [The Chicago Theological Seminary is distributing condoms promoting gay sex.]

We know the Christianity is key to America and American culture.  Hence the Left’s long war against Christianity, in which some Christians and liberal Christian churches are now participating.

“Culture is upstream of politics.” Andrew Breitbart

“We are in a long war for the soul of America.” Andrew Breitbart  [And we are losing the war.]

Reverend Charles Finney foretold our situation today in 1873, although it is probably worse than he could have imagined.

“Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in religion, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren; but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.”

As Ann Coulter said recently: “It is time for Christians to realize the big thing is taken care of.  Could you be courageous and fight for the most consequential nation on Earth?”
